Frequently Asked Questions

Who are your courses accredited with ? 

All courses are accredited with ABT, Associated Beauty Therapists.  An ABT accreditation signifies that the school and the courses have been assessed and approved to meet high professional standards.


Who are your tutors ? 
All tutors are experienced in the beauty therapy industry and in the treatment they are teaching. All tutors are fully qualified and experienced teachers and assessors.


What is the minimum age for the accredited courses ? 
The minimum age for courses here is 16. There is no age limit.


Are they any options for someone younger than 16 ?
Taster courses are available for anyone from 14 years. These will give you an insight into the practical treatment.   These are non accredited.  Students will receive an ‘in house ‘ certificate for their attendance.


How often do the courses run ? Where can I find the course list ?
The school is open Monday -Friday and 1 Saturday a month.   Classes run from 9:30-5:30pm.  Some evenings are available for short courses.  To find out the current course dates, please visit our Instagram or facebook page, PM, call or email.


I am not sure which course to book onto? 
You can book a face to face meeting  or phone call to discuss your course options. Appointments can be made to watch part of a class and access learning materials.


Are the courses designed for beginners ? 
We have courses for both beginners, and those who are therapists.  Pre requisites are required for advanced courses. A copy of your certificate will be required on booking. 


What if I have additional learning needs?
These can be discussed prior to booking, Additional support will be put into place in your classes. 


How many are in your classes ? 
Classes are a maximum of 6. These small class sizes enable the tutor to give adequate attention to all of their learners. 


Could I book a 1-1 ? 
Yes, all courses can be attended as a 1-1. This will occur additional charges.


Do I need a uniform ? 
You are not required to wear a beauty uniform.  Please wear something that is comfortable and professional for training.


How can I prepare for my training
Once a booking is made, a learning booklet will be sent out. This will need to be read through prior to the training day.  This does not need to be printed.  Several courses require pre course questions that student’s will bring these along with you on the training day. 


Do I need to bring my own model 
Models are organised for your training. We have a model’s page on facebook where students advertise for their classes. 

 

Will I need a kit ?
Student’s will use the schools professional kit for all courses with the exception of Classic Lashes. The Classic lashes kit is required for the student’s home case students.  This is included within the course price.


Do you offer refresher courses ? 
I can offer refreshers only to students that have previously trained with me.


Do you offer ‘in salon ‘ training ?
Yes, tutors can train your staff in your salon. There will be additional costs for this. 


Where do I purchase insurance from ?
You can gain your insurance through ABT. Please ask for the exclusive discount code. 


Can I contact the tutor after my course for support ?
Every student will have life long support.  Student’s are also encouraged to send over photos of their work. Student’s can do this for as long as they feel they need this support.  The tutors can send over constructive feedback to enable further progression.  Home case studies are required for for Classic Lash Extensions and the Reflexology courses.
