Claire has been in the beauty therapy industry since 2001.
Having spent 13 years teaching and assessing in a college environment, she felt there was a demand for short accredited courses in her local area of Evesham.
As her own family was growing this felt the right time to work closer to home, so in 2013 the Seceret Retreat Beauty School was built!
At first, Claire offered a couple of courses as 1 to 1 sessions for students along with her normal treatments. The demand soon grew and the need for more space for group teaching was required, so she extended onto the existing room and offered many different accredited courses, adding more and more all the time.
All students have life-long support. When students complete a course, they are encouraged to send photos of their work so the tutor can offer constructive criticism and feedback

ABT will only approve a training centre if all its criteria are met, and it continues to do so.
Claire uses her 25 years of experience as a therapist and college lecturer to put together course materials such as schemes of work, lesson plans, learning booklets and tests.
All materials are thoroughly and continually checked by ABT. These checks enable the planning and delivery of professional courses that meet these high standards.
Students will complete these courses with professional skills, standards, and knowledge that enables them to be ready for the industry.
ONCE ACCREDITED ABT CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH YOUR INSURANCE
The school also runs Ofqual regulated qualifications, through Awarding Body, Focus Awards.
These are funded privately, and through EHCP funding.
What is an Awarding Body ?
This is an organisation that develops and regulates nationally recognized qualifications for the beauty industry.
VTCT , Focus Awards is not the title of the qualification, eg a ‘Level 2 Facial and Skincare Diploma ‘could be awarded through VTCT and Focus Awards ( there are many ).
OfQual
Ofqual stands for Qualifications and Examinations Regulation. It approves and regulates qualifications (RQF). This regulates the awarding bodies. These qualifications are assessed both internally and externally.
